Recently, the 27th China Association for Science and Technology Annual Conference "New Power System Construction and Development" Special Forum, hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology and organized by the China Society of Electrical Engineering, was held in Beijing.

This forum is divided into two parts: thematic reports and expert dialogues. The report focuses on the construction conditions and key technologies of new power systems, covering multi frequency coupling oscillation of new power systems, basic problems of new power systems, offshore wind power transmission technology, new wind power generation technology, and the balance and stability of new power systems from an energy perspective. It systematically elaborates on the new problems, new ideas, and innovative technologies that arise in the construction process of new power systems.

The expert dialogue session was chaired by Ma Shicong, Secretary General of the Power System Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering. The attending experts discussed different dimensions such as system construction methods, disciplinary development layout, new energy grid connection and consumption technology.

The meeting summary proposes that the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering will fully leverage its role as a platform link, gather expert wisdom, and provide support for the construction of new power systems and the self-reliance of energy technology.

This forum has received support and active participation from units such as China Electric Power Research Institute Co., Ltd. and the Power System Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering. More than 60 scholars, experts, and technical personnel from power companies, research institutes, relevant universities, and power equipment manufacturing units attended the conference. Around the forum theme, the society also collaborated with journals in this field, such as the Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering and Power Grid Technology, to solicit and publish 20 high-quality academic papers.
