A certain municipal engineering company has achieved significant results in the research and development of "intelligent operation and maintenance technology for underground comprehensive pipe galleries", but faces the problem of insufficient demonstration of the combination of technological innovation and urban service value when applying for the Urban Construction Science and Technology Award. This technology achieves a fault location accuracy of within 1 meter and reduces operation and maintenance costs by 35% through innovation such as intelligent sensing monitoring and robot inspection. It has been applied to a 30 kilometer urban underground pipe gallery project. However, the technical highlights in the award materials are not prominent, and the combination of intellectual property layout and application scenarios is not tight, so it was not shortlisted for the initial evaluation.

After conducting in-depth research, our team assisted in identifying three major technological breakthroughs: firstly, the development of a "distributed fiber optic strain monitoring system" to achieve real-time sensing of pipe gallery structural deformation, with a warning accuracy rate of 98%; The second is to develop an "intelligent inspection robot cluster for pipe galleries", which covers complex pipe gallery environments through multi robot collaborative operations and improves inspection efficiency by 80%; The third is to build a "digital operation and maintenance platform for pipeline corridors", integrating data from water, electricity, gas and other pipelines to achieve coordinated handling of faults. In response to these innovations, we have compiled 22 intellectual property certificates, including 12 invention patents, 6 software copyrights, and 4 operation and maintenance standards, forming a complete technical protection system.

In terms of presenting achievements, guide enterprises to focus on explaining the supporting role of technology in urban safety operation, and prove the social value of achievements through typical fault handling cases, pipe gallery life extension data, etc. At the same time, collect authoritative evidence such as evaluation opinions from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development and application reports from urban management departments to strengthen the practical application value of the results.

The optimized application materials have successfully won the second prize of China Urban Construction Science and Technology Progress Award. After winning the award, the technology was included in the "Urban Underground Comprehensive Pipe Gallery Operation and Maintenance Guide" and promoted in 15 cities across the country, with an additional operation and maintenance contract amount of 600 million yuan. The layout of intellectual property also helps enterprises establish a voice in technical standards, leading the development of three industry standards and becoming a technology benchmark enterprise in the field of municipal engineering intelligence.
