A certain online education platform enterprise focusing on rural education revitalization is facing problems of weak technical protection and insufficient verification of educational equity value in the development of an interactive live teaching system in low bandwidth environments. The system achieves smooth live teaching in rural areas with poor network conditions through technologies such as adaptive bitrate adjustment and lightweight interactive protocols, reducing stuttering rates by 70% and improving interactive response speed by 60%. However, the enterprise only applied for 4 invention patents in the early stages and did not form system protection. The core weak network optimization algorithm and multi terminal adaptation technology are at risk of being copied; At the same time, due to the lack of authoritative academic achievements support, the persuasiveness is insufficient when applying for educational public welfare projects and government procurement.
After our intervention, we first conducted a comprehensive breakdown of the system technology. Through in-depth communication with network engineers and rural education volunteers, we identified 11 core innovative points, including weak network environment adaptive transmission algorithms, lightweight interactive protocols, and multi terminal compatibility adaptation solutions. In response to the shortcomings of patent layout, a three-dimensional protection strategy of "core technology+application scenarios+deployment plan" has been developed to assist enterprises in completing 21 patent applications, including 14 invention patents covering key technologies, including "a dynamic adjustment method for live streaming bitrate based on rural network characteristics" and "a teacher-student interaction implementation system in low bandwidth environments", forming a complete patent chain from technology research and development to rural education applications.
In terms of academic paper conversion, guided the R&D team to collaborate with rural education research institutions, conducted empirical research in 50 rural schools in 10 provinces, and wrote 6 academic papers. Emphasis is placed on the role of the system in narrowing the urban-rural education gap, including key indicators such as the coverage of high-quality teachers and the improvement of rural students' academic performance. Four of them have been included in the Chinese Journal of Education, and two have given keynote speeches at the International Conference on Rural Education. Cleverly citing the technical principles of publicly available patents as support and concealing core parameters in the paper not only ensures patent novelty but also enhances the persuasiveness of educational equity value.
After the implementation of the project, the coverage rate of enterprise patent protection increased from 28% to 93%, successfully preventing the technology imitation behavior of two enterprises. After the publication of academic papers, the value of educational equity in the system was recognized and included in the key promotion project of the "Education Digitalization Strategy Action". It received a public welfare fund of 15 million yuan and provided equipment and technical support for 200 rural schools. The platform's user base increased from 500000 to 1.8 million, with annual sales reaching 190 million yuan, achieving a dual breakthrough in technology protection and social value promotion.
