By introducing international judges, expanding international cooperation awards, and promoting the international promotion of award-winning achievements, the linkage and sharing of global innovation resources are promoted.

The participation of international judges and experts has significantly increased, enhancing the international credibility of the awards. The National Science and Technology Award will invite foreign experts to participate in the evaluation for the first time since 2023. In 2024, foreign experts will account for 15% of the evaluation experts, covering top scholars from 12 technological powerhouses including the United States, Germany, and Japan. When evaluating a project in the field of quantum computing, quantum physics experts from Europe provided professional opinions on the innovation and application prospects of the results from an international perspective, making the evaluation results more global in perspective. Some local science and technology awards have also followed suit. A provincial science and technology award has introduced experts from countries along the "the Belt and Road" to participate in the review, promoting mutual recognition of regional scientific and technological achievements. International cooperation awards and joint recognition mechanisms are gradually being established to deepen cross-border innovation collaboration. China has established bilateral scientific and technological award cooperation mechanisms with multiple countries, setting up special awards such as the "China US Clean Energy Joint Innovation Award" and the "China EU Digital Technology Cooperation Award" to recognize outstanding achievements in international cooperation. In the selection of the China EU Digital Technology Cooperation Award in 2024, the industrial Internet security technology project jointly developed by Chinese and German research teams won the award. This project integrates the technical advantages of both sides in the field of network security and industrial control, and has been promoted and applied in 5 European countries and 20 domestic provinces. The international promotion channels for award-winning achievements are constantly expanding, accelerating the cross-border transfer of technology. The organizers of technology awards establish cooperation with international technology transfer agencies to build an overseas promotion platform for the award-winning achievements. The National Science and Technology Award Office, in conjunction with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, has established the "China Award winning Science and Technology Achievement Exhibition Center" overseas. In 2024, 10 special promotion activities have been held in Southeast Asia, Africa and other regions, promoting the overseas transformation of 25 award-winning achievements. A certain award-winning water-saving irrigation technology entered the Pakistani market through this platform, helping local farmers save more than 30% of water and increase grain production by 15%. At the same time, with the help of the "the Belt and Road" scientific and technological innovation action plan, the technical standards and solutions of the award-winning achievements have been adopted by more countries, and the Chinese standard of a new energy micro grid technology has been promoted and applied in six Central Asian countries.
