By developing a dedicated anaerobic reactor, the degradation efficiency of organic pollutants has been improved, with a COD removal rate of 99% and the ability to produce methane gas, with a methane production of 0.35m ³/kgCOD; The treated wastewater can meet the reuse standard, with a reuse rate of over 70%.

Experts unanimously believe that this technology has innovation and practicality in the resource utilization of high concentration organic wastewater, and the overall technology has reached the leading level in China, providing an effective solution for the reduction and resource utilization of high concentration organic wastewater.
This technology has been applied in 8 chemical enterprises and 5 pharmaceutical enterprises, treating a total of 1.2 million tons of high concentration organic wastewater, recovering methane gas for use in self owned power plants, generating 20 million kWh of electricity annually, saving 1.5 million tons of water, and creating economic benefits of over 80 million yuan for the enterprise. Obtained 10 invention patents, 8 utility model patents, formulated 1 enterprise standard, and included relevant technologies in the national advanced environmental protection technology catalog, setting a benchmark for wastewater resource utilization treatment in the industry.
