A certain agricultural technology company has collaborated with the Academy of Agricultural Sciences to develop a high-quality rice variety with strong stress resistance, "Nongke Rice 1," after 8 years of breeding. This variety has aggregated excellent genes such as disease resistance, salt alkali tolerance, and high yield through molecular marker assisted breeding technology. Its resistance to rice blast disease has reached the resistance level (R level), and it can grow normally in saline alkali soil with a salt content of 0.3%; Through regional trials, the average yield per mu reached 650 kilograms, an increase of 12% compared to locally grown varieties. The rice quality reached the second level of the national high-quality rice standard, with a chalkiness degree of less than 5% and a amylose content of 15% -20%.  

The appraisal committee is composed of experts in agricultural breeding, cultivation, quality inspection, and other fields. It conducts appraisal by inspecting breeding bases, reviewing regional experimental data, and tasting rice quality. Experts believe that this variety has made significant breakthroughs in the synergistic improvement of stress resistance, yield, and quality, and its overall technology is at the leading level in China. It is suitable for promotion and planting in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and some areas of North China.  

Nongke Rice No.1 has been promoted and planted on an area of 1.5 million mu in provinces such as Jiangsu, Anhui, and Shandong. Despite extreme weather conditions in 2022-2023, it has maintained stable yield and quality, and has cumulatively increased farmers' income by over 1.8 billion yuan. Obtained 1 new plant variety right, published 18 research papers, formulated 3 cultivation technology regulations, and promoted the structural adjustment and quality improvement of the local rice industry. It has been listed as a major promoted variety by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
